warranty complaint - kobalt tools
I bought a kobalt cordless drill from lowes hardware that said on the box 5yr hassle free warranty. a year and a half later the chuck is broken and I take it back to the store to be told that I will have to contact Kobalt, I can only bring it back to lowes if it breaks the first 3 months because I didn't buy a replacement policy on a hassle free warranty. I am now 2 hours into this hassle free warranty (including 45 minutes tied up in going to the store and back) and have been holding on the phone for 20 minutes and still have 3 callers ahead of me. oh, by the way, when you go to Kobalt tools webpage to get a contact number, guess whos number you get? Lowes! then you have to ask them for the number to contact Kobalt about the hassle free warranty. during the call to Kobalt you repeatedly hear about the hassle free warranty where all you have to do is return the tool to the store and return it no questions asked. So regretting buying kobalt. trying to use the no hassle warranty is going to cost me more than the tool!!!!!
